Unexpectedly crime has come to the top of list of concerns by residents in our recent survey.

Just last year it was not so much of a concern. This is understandable, however as in just one month Milton Keynes has seen two murders from knife attacks and several violent crimes involving theft and assault.

I strongly believe that the best way to reduce crime is through education and opportunity. That is why I already work with young people to create projects which encourage them to talk about crime and its attendant consequences with the view to deterring them from being involved later on.

As a Milton Keynes Councillor I will continue to work with other community groups and schools to reach young people whilst building a strong relationship with law enforcement.
